No. 799/Res.No. 414-22 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:09 P.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 414-22, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 414-22,transmitted by the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth via Communication No. 799 <br /> dated May 4, 2022, commits to funding the cost items awarded by arbitration to Hawaii Fire Fighters <br /> Association Unit 11 for the contract period July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2025. <br /> The estimated costs over the four years of the new contract resulting from across-the-board increases <br /> and step movements would be $16,267,480. <br /> Human Resources Director Waylen L. K. Leopoldino provided a brief summary of the funding: <br /> Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz disclosed for the record that her partner is a member of the <br /> Hawaii County Fire Department.
