Lee Loy, Chair, Human Services and Social Services Committee SUBJECT: Additional Recommendations for Waiwai Nonprofit Grant Organizations for FY 2022-2023 In accordance with Chapter 2, Article 25, section 2-139(a)(1)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, $2,500,000.00 is appropriated to the County of Hawaii Waiwai Nonprofit Grant Program. On June 2, 2022, an additional $875,000 was added to the proposed Operating Budget bringing the total amount to $3,375,000. Attached for your review and consideration are the additional recommendations for the FY 2022- 2023 appropriations for grants to nonprofit organizations [Exhibit A]. These recommendations were made after the review of all eligible applications provided by the Department of Finance and the award recommendations contained in Communication No. 633.6.
