SUBJECT: A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), BY
ADDING A NEW ARTICLE RELATING TO PROHIBITION OF NON-
MINERAL SUNSCREEN.
Attached please find Bill No. 167, Draft 2. Bill 167, was amended by the contents of
Communication No. 771.1, as duly approved by the Council during its June 15, 2022,meeting.
The Council suspended Rule No. 24(1)(e) relating to the holdover of amended legislation and
passed Bill No. 167, as amended to Draft 2, on second and final reading.
