As a member of the Hawaii County community, I urge you to please support Bill 167.
Prohibiting the sale and distribution of non-mineral sunscreen on Hawaii Island is just one of the many actions we
should be taking to protect the health and resiliency of our coral reefs.
Reducing human impacts and stress to coral reefs is vital in their recovery. Preventing the parabens and other
petrochemicals found in non mineral sunscreens from entering our oceans will reduce unnecessary stress on our reefs
and allow them to be more resilient.
As a concerned citizen, thank you for your consideration.
