Aloha to you, Chair Rebecca Villegas, Co-Chair Heather Kimball and Members of the Committee on Climate
Resilience &Natural Management,
I am writing to urge you to support Bill 167. The health of our coral reefs needs protecting. Chemicals in non-mineral
sunscreen inhibit coral growth and compromise our reefs. This ordinance aims to preserve the health, safety, and
welfare of humans and the environment by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be provided, sold, offered for sale, or
distributed in the County.
I submit my testimony in strong support of Bill 167.
