Dear Rebecca Villegas, Heather Kimball, and members of the Committee on Climate Resilience and Natural
Management,
I'm writing in support of Bill 167 to allow only mineral sunscreens to be provided, sold or distributed in the County of
Hawai'i. It's vital that we protect the health of our coral reefs from the harmful effects of non-mineral sunscreens.
These reefs protect all of our islands' marine wildlife, coastal infrastructure and beaches. This is a simple, but
necessary way to help protect our reefs and our communities.
