Aloha mai kakou,
My name is Halani Graciidis-Ursua. I am from Kailua-Kona and I live in Holualoa. I am a proud 7th grade student at Ke
Kula '0 'Ehunuikaimalino. In Science class,we learned about Malama `aina, Theory of Evolution and Kumulipo. I heard
that Bil1167 is being discussed by the country, and I am writing this to ask for your support for this bill. The reason this
bill is important to me is because there banning sunscreen that is bad for are Coral and organisms, it is also important
to me is because I care for our Ocean life and our coreal.Healthy coral reefs help to protect our island community. The
chemicals in non-mineral sunscreen inhibit coral growth and degrade the integrity of our reefs. This bill aims to
preserve the health, safety, and welfare of humans and the environment by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be
provided, sold, offered for sale, or distributed in the County.
I submit my testimony in strong support of Bill 167.
