Aloha kakou,
My name is Liloa Kam. I attend the school of Ehunui`kaimalino located in Kealakekua, Kona. In science class we
have been learning about why it's important to protect our coral reefs. Healthy coral reefs help to protect our island
community. The chemicals in non-mineral sunscreen inhibit coral growth and degrade the integrity of our reefs. This bill aims to
preserve the health, safety, and welfare of humans and the environment by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be provided,
sold, offered for sale, or distributed in the County. I am writing to ask you to help us pass Bill 167 so that we can work together
to preserve these precious natural resources. I submit my testimony in strong support of Bill 167.
