Subject: I am writing in support of Bill 167
Aloha, I am writing in favor of Bill 167 which prohibits the sale and
distribution of non-mineral sunscreen on Hawaii Island. Although I know
there is a concern that melanoma and other such ramifications may result from
this, from my research I do believe that mineral sunscreens should be adequate
replacements for these products, and as the state has already determined that
the non-mineral products should be prohibited passing this bill should be a no-
brainer, and make it easier for local officials to enforce. Mahalo for your
