I am a Hawaiian student at Ke Kula '0 Ehunuikaimalino. In science class my classmates and I learned about sunscreens and other things that harm the coral. I am writing this to you today because I heard that Bill 167 is being discussed by the county, and I am asking for your help for this Bill ke 'olu'olu. The reason this Bill is important to me is because i really don't want to see the Hawaiian ocean life die out because of bad sunscreens. Also Healthy coral reefs help to protect our island community. The chemicals in non-mineral sunscreen inhibit coral growth and degrade the integrity of our reefs. This bill aims to preserve the health, safety, and welfare of humans and the environment by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be provided, sold, offered for sale, or distributed in the County. I submit my testimony in strong support of Bill 167. N co c-) c - _2a - -<.-- r tal Comm. lip 1,1 ' 121 Ref.To: 9Kg-N Ref.Dote MAY 1 7 2022
