Subject: SUPPORT for proposed Bill 167
Aloha, my name is Kimberly Matucci, a Big Island resident and local marine biologist. I am writing to you to show
my SUPPORT for proposed Bill 167. Prohibiting the sales and distribution of non-mineral sunscreen starting December
1, 2022 is SO NECESSARY - I only wish we could do so sooner. Hawaii depends on our coral reefs and oceans for literally
everything, from local fishing/food to tourism to clean water.. and everything in between. Non-mineral sunscreen is killing
our oceans and marine life and we cannot afford to lose any more.
Again, I SUPPORT Bill 167.
