Aloha mai kakou,
My name is Kana'iwai Merola. I am from Kailua-Kona Hawaii and I live in Kalaoa. I am a 7th grade
student at Ehunuikaimalino.
In science class we learned about malama (take care) of the 'aim (Land). I am writing to you today because
I heard Bill 167 is being discussed by the county council, and I am writing to you to ask for your Kokua or
support of this bill.The reason this bill is important to me is because I really love the ocean and I don't
want the living organisms of the sea to perish.
The sea gives us many things that we are lucky to be gifted with such as food. My dad is a fisherman and a
diver, so with all the deadly substances in the ocean my dad might not be able to catch fish.
In conclusion,thank you for reading and hope you consider helping us pass this bill.
