Subject: Bill 167 Testimony
Harsh petrochemicals such as octocrylene are not only very harmful to coral and marine life, but they are also
proving to be harmful to humans as well. Studies are showing that octocrylene has the potential to be absorbed into
a human's bloodstream and degrade into benzene, a toxic carcinogen plastic. Therefore, in order to benefit our coral
and marine ecosystems as well as human health, I submit my testimony in strong support of Bill 167.
