Hello and good day.
I am strongly in support of Bill 167.I work with.marine life and study marine biology it is a well known fact that non mineral sunscreen as
well as other ocean pollutants harm marine life specifically coral reefs.Healthy coral reefs protect our island's coastal infrastructure,
beaches,and community.The chemical compounds contained in non-mineral sunscreen inhibit coral growth and degrade the integrity of
our reefs.They result in sudden coral death and with the additional issue of massive coral bleaching events worldwide we can not afford to
lose more coral which is home to so much of our native sea life.This ordinance aims to preserve the health,safety,and welfare of humans
and the environment by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be provided,sold,offered for sale,or distributed in the County.I submit my
testimony in strong support of Bill 167.
With high hopes this Bill Passes
