Aloha.
Although I am a part time resident of Hawaii Island, I see the need to stop the use of chemical-based sunscreens. I am asking
for your support to the bill 167 which is to preserve the health,safety,and welfare of humans and the environment, by
allowing only mineral based sunscreens to be provide, sold, offered for sale or distributed in the County. I have seen the
destruction of our coral reefs while working and volunteering with Kahaluu Bay Education Center and Cindi Punehaele and
Kathleen Clark.The work the education center does continues everyday and supplies visitors to the bay with mineral based
sunscreens. Please strongly support Bill 167 so we continue to preserve our natural resources.
