Re: Resolution for multi-year lease
The Office of Housing and Community Development requests to lease real property
located at 74-5593 Pawai Place, Kailua Kona, Hawaii, known as the West Hawai`i
Homeless Campus, and identified by Tax Map Keys (TMKs) (3) 7-4-010:044 and (3) 7-
4-010:020 to HOPE Services Hawai`i, Inc. This location is to be used as an assessment
center and emergency shelter for single individuals who are experiencing homelessness.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a two-year, multi-year lease
agreement with two 18-month option terms with HOPE Services Hawai`i, Inc. for the
location described above. The anticipated lease shall be $10.00 per year.

A. REQUEST:
The Office of Housing and Community Development(OHCD) is requesting a resolution authorizing the
Mayor to enter into&multi year lease agreement with HOPE.SERVICES for a TWO(2)year lease period7
with two(2)eighteen(18):Month option terms for the West Hawaii Homeless Campus.

B, BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION(USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
OHCD would like extend this lease to maintain operations at the facility which sen/ices homeless populations
in West Hawaii. West Hawaii Homeless Campus is to be used as an Assessment Center and Emergency
Shelter for single individuals who are experiencing homelessness,
The WHHS will be leased for a two(2)year lease period at$10 per year.
