Ms. Kimball asked Corporation Counsel Elizabeth A. Strance to confirm bythe next reading
whether she would be able to share a spreadsheet with built-in formulas with the other committee
members.
Committee Member Aaron S.Y. Chung stated that he would like to see the number of years an
individual has had an exemption to be tied in to the measure. Mr. Chung then stated concerns
with individuals who recently moved to Hawai`i automatically getting exemptions solely based
on their age.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 182, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
