CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to hear consider the proposed decrease in the County's portion
of the fuel tax rates was called to order by Council Chair Maile Medeiros David
at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Kailua-Kona.

PURPOSE OF Pursuant to Section 243-5 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, this public hearing
HEARING: was held in order to hear testimony from the public prior to consideration of the
proposed decrease in the County's portion of the fuel tax rates as follows:
Fuel Tax on Liquid Fuel Rates
(Diesel On-Highway and Gasoline On-Highway)
RATE PER GALLON
Current Rate 23.0 cents
Proposed Rate 13.0 cents
The fuel tax rates are proposed via Resolution 363-22, Communication 708, to be
considered during a forthcoming duly noticed regular meeting of the County
Council.
