CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to consider the proposed Operating and Capital Budgets for
fiscal year July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, was called to order at 5:00 p.m. in
the Council Chambers, Hilo by Ms. Maile Medeiros David, Chair.

PURPOSE OF Pursuant to Section 10-4 of the Hawaii County Charter, this public hearing
THE HEARING: is held in order for the Council to hear testimony from the public prior to
consideration of the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Operating and Capital Improvement
Project(CIP) budgets for the County of Hawai`i.
The Operating and CIP budgets are proposed via Bill 126, Draft 2,
Communication 645.40; and 127, Draft 2, Communication 663.2, respectively, to
be considered during a forthcoming duly noticed regular meeting of the County
Council.
