CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to consider the proposed real property tax rates for fiscal year
July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, was called to order at 5:30 p.m., in the Council
Chambers, Hilo, by Ms. Maile Medeiros David, Chair.

PURPOSE OF Pursuant to Chapter 19, Article 11, Section 19-90 of the Hawaii County Code,
HEARING: this public hearing is held in order for the Council to hear testimony from the
public prior to consideration of setting the real property tax rates for Fiscal Year
2022-2023. The following rates will be considered; the Mayor's proposed rates
are in bold:

Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Real Property Tax Rates
The County Council will consider the above real property tax rates via adoption of
a resolution setting the rates during a forthcoming duly noticed regular meeting of
the County Council. Pursuant to Hawai`i County Code Section 19-90(b), the real
property tax rates for the upcoming fiscal year are to be determined no later than
June 20, 2022.
