Aloha, I would like to testify in strong support of Bill 160, and let our county council know what a difference $5
million a year would make, if appropriated to support affordable housing production.
I am on the Board of Habitat for Humanity Hawaii Island, and have seen what a transformational difference
affordable housing makes for families.
The forecast for the unhoused here is looking grim, and even this relatively small amount is a starting point.
Aloha, and in solidarity with local families who struggle with housing crises.
