Dear Hawaii County Council Members
I am writing in support for Councilman Inaba Resolution 423-22 to make the necessary changes to support the those of us who own homes in the
county of Hawaii. We do need to support tourism but not at the cost to homeowners.
Our island offers a lot of value to tourists.This value is worth a price.Collecting tax revenue from renting on this island is one way for tourist to support
the needs of islanders. We have a significantly less expensive tax rate than many other tourist locations on the mainland and beyond. I see no reason
to lower a tax rate that is not needed for tourism when the shift of taxation rates can benefit those who live and work on this island.
