Aloha Chair Maile David and Co-Chair Aaron Chung and members of the County Council:
We are writing to encourage your strong support of Bill 167. We need to move forward now and quickly to address
the issues of preserving our healthy coral reefs. It is our kuleana. The chemicals in non-mineral sunscreen are
detrimental to our reefs. We encourage you to support Bill 167 in order to preserve the health and welfare of both
humans and the environment, by allowing only mineral sunscreens to be provided, sold, offered for sale, or
distributed in Hawaii County.
