Aloha Kakou,
My name is GinnyJo "Makalani" Minamishin , I am 49 years old and have lived on the Big Island of Hawaii all my
life as well as my ohana before me. I am in support of bill 167 and hope you take it serious about how important this
is to save our ocean marine life , which provides a healthy coral reef, which provides healthy fish and oxygen for our
healthy island living. We have always been people of the ocean and through out the years have seen how much our
coral life is depreciating rapidly. I am known as Wahine Mano to many, a shark advocate for Hawaii Island as well as
universal. I take pride in our healthy oceans and educate people when needed about the damage sunscreen is doing to
our oceans.
Compounds contained in non-mineral sunscreens are not only a killer to our reefs but for marine life , and human
health as well.
Please allow only mineral sunscreens to be provided ,sold, or purchased in the county of Hawaii. It will make a
tremendous difference for our islands ocean marine life and humans . This is a serious matter that is depreciating
every day.
