Aloha Chair and members of the Hawaii County Council,
Please support Bill 167 prohibiting non-mineral sunscreen.
Healthy coral reefs protect Hawaii island's coastal infrastructure,
recreational beaches, and community. The chemical compounds
contained in non-mineral sunscreen damage coral growth and degrade
the health of our reefs.

This ordinance aims to protect the health and safety of people and the
fragile near shore marine environment by only allowing mineral
sunscreens to be offered for sale or distributed in the County.
Please take action to protect people and our island home!
