------ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> _ _ham <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 456 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO FULL LIFE TO ASSIST <br /> WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS AKTION CLUB AND OLA PONO LEARNING <br /> CENTER IN KONA. <br /> WHEREAS, Full Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists individuals with <br /> developmental disabilities to lead full, happy, and self-determined lives by assisting them to <br /> achieve maximum independence within their homes, community, and workplace; and <br /> WHEREAS, Full Life's Aktion Club and Ola Pono Learning Center assists people in the <br /> Kona area with developmental disabilities by teaching them communication and job skills that <br /> will help them to achieve goals, attain a greater self-determination, and increase community <br /> inclusion; and <br /> WHEREAS, Full Life is requesting funds to assist with purchasing equipment and <br /> supplies to improve services at its Aktion Club and Ola Pono Learning Center in Kona; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support public <br /> and youth programs that promote educational activities in a drug- and alcohol-free environment, <br /> such as Full Life's Aktion Club and Ola Pono Learning Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Full Life for expenses related to its Aktion Club and Ola <br /> Pono Learning Center in Kona. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
