COUNTY OF HAWAN {° STATE <br /> ,TE•OF NA� <br /> SOLUTION NO. 461 22 <br /> RESOLUTION UTH IING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE <br /> DONATION OF QIDEL QUICK VUECOVID-19HOME TEST KITS <br /> THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO THE I`1 <br /> COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of Health is donating 8,000 Quidel <br /> Quick Vue COVID-19 home test kits to the County of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, these test kits, with an estimated value of$91,120, will be utilized to <br /> provide testing options to low-income households, rural communities, and County of <br /> Hawaii staff; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Defense Agency recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
