I i i A RESOLUTION TO AMEND SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 22-51 BY AMENDING SECTION 7.01(a), 7.02(b), 7.03, 7.04, 7.05, 7.06 AND 7.07 BY INCREASING THE j AFFECTED PAY GRADES FOR THE MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1,2022. WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for interim amendments to the Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and WHEREAS, Section 7.00 of Salary Ordinance No. 22-51 lists the classes of work and compensation for persons employed by the County other than those whose pay is otherwise provided for; and WHEREAS, Section 7.01(a), 7.02(b), 7.03, 7.04, 7.05, 7.06, and 7.07 of Salary Ordinance No. 22-51 lists the salaries of pay grades in the Office of the County Clerk, Office of Housing and Community Development, Department of Public Works, Department of Environmental Management, Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Human Resources, and Department of Water Supply;and WHEREAS, the Hawaii Wage and Hour Law mandates the minimum wage increase from $10.10 per hour to $12.00 per hour effective October 1, 2022; and now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Section 7.00, 7.01(a), 7.02(b), 7.03, 7.04, 7.05, 7.06 AND 7.07 of Salary Ordinance No. 22-51 be amended as follows: "SECTION 7.00. That the compensation of positions in the classes of work listed below are hereby fixed and established as follows: Item Title Pay Grade SECTION 7.01(a) OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK 7 Student Intern $12.00 hrly SECTION 7.02(b) OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
