Bill 160
Aloha Council Members,
I am writing in support of Bill 160 which will increase funding for affordable housing on Hawaii Island. I
appreciate all the Council Members have done to address the lack of affordable housing on Hawaii
Island, and I believe Bill 160 has the potential to increase affordable housing inventory. Housing for
working families needs to be a priority to keep our communities healthy, stable, and thriving.
There is much to be done to build enough affordable housing, including changes in zoning, changes in
building codes, and addressing underlying issues that impede affordable housing development.
Please continue your support of Bill 160 and providing hope for families to live and grow here o
Hawaii Island.
