Dear County Councilmembers,
I wish to express my support for Bill 160 regarding the production of affordable housing.This valuable bill encompasses a number of
different strategies which would be utilized to provide crucial affordable housing units for our community members. I very much
appreciate the plan of rehabilitating existing structures as a low cost means to do so. It also maximizes the ability to provide housing
by leveraging funds available from other sources. Listing"project readiness"as a criteria to be considered in project approval helps
to ensure that dwelling units will be available quickly. In addition, it does not pull money from the Homeless Fund,which has a
variety of services,programs and positions that they need to be able to fund.
