RE: TESTIMONY ON BILL 180-INITIATES AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE VIII OF
THE HAWAII COUNTY CHARTER (2020 EDITION), RELATING TO THE
WATER BOARD AND THE DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY
Aloha Chair David, Vice Chair Chung, and Hawaii County Council Members:
I, on behalf of the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association —Waimea
Nui Region, encompassing approximately 28,000 +/- acres (not including
Humu'ula), submit the following amendment:
ADD, following Department of Hawaiian Home Lands,
"And an elected member of the body of Beneficiary Homestead Associations-
Hawai'i, Island wide"
This individual will provide a necessary, additional perspective to any discussion
conducted the Water Board and the Department of Water Supply.
