Subject: Strong support for Res.416-22
Aloha council members,
I strongly support the resolution introduced by Council rep Villegas to begin negotiations to acquire the North Kona
property identified in the reso, also known as Kakala 0 Kamoa Cultural Center.
I strongly support the use of P®NC funds to help protect our natural and cultural spaces for now and for future
generations. I also ask that the maintenance of these properties, including o'oma in which I was intimately involved,
be provided adequate maintenance funding so that long-term protection can be achieved as envisioned by the fund
and the public who supports it.
