Aloha,
My name is Meredith Buck and I live in Kailua Kona. I am writing to share my strong support of Bill 167 prohibiting the sale&
distribution of non-mineral sunscreens on Hawai'i Island. Mineral sunscreens are the only ones that are both reef-and human-safe
while providing adequate UV protection.And the impacts of non-mineral sunscreens are devastating to marine ecosystems—
something we cannot afford in this time of climate emergency.
Please pass bill 167 and end the sale and distribution of non-mineral sunscreens on Hawai'i Island i
