I am writing to you in Strong Support of Bill 167. Hawaii is such a special place and healthy coral reefs are an
important part of it. If we don't protect our coral reefs, we will lose so much of what makes Hawaii special. As a
Hawaii resident and a frequent scuba diver, I see first hand how much stress the coral is going through. Changing the
climate will take a long time to accomplish, but this is something we can do that will have quick results. Mineral
based sunscreen is also much safer for people too. There are some other island countries that have banned the harmful
chemical sunscreens. Hawaii should be a leader for the rest of the United States in this effort. Please help us to
Malama'Aina.
