Aloha to all the County Council Memebers,
The Green Party of Hawaii would like to weigh in on Bill 167 (C771): Amends County Code, relating to prohibition of
non-mineral sunscreen,H. Inaba&R. Villegas.
The Green Party of Hawaii supports the passage of Bill 167, and would like to offer our support in implementing Bill
167 on our Island. The poisoning of the waters and reefs around Hawaii Island by the sunscreen Industry needs to be
stopped. The use of mineral based products, made locally here in Hawaii is a step forward in the right direction. A
ban or prohibition, on sales of non- mineral based sunscreens is the first step. We ask for a Yes vote on Bill 167.
