SUBJECT: Presentation of the August 2022 Haweo Award to FIFD Recipient Kilihea Inaba
on August 2 2022—Parks and Recreation& Public Safety Committee
We are requesting approximately 20 minutes for presentation of the August 2022 Haweo Award
to Hawaii Fire Department recipient, Kilihea Inaba, Fire Medical Specialist II.
We request that this presentation take place on the Parks and Recreation and Public Safety
Committee on August 2, 2022, and that this committee be scheduled at 9:00 a.m. to better
accommodate the department's schedule.
The Haweo Award Program recognizes employees of our Fire and Police `ohana that perform
their duties "above and beyond the call". "Haweo"means to glow or to be radiant, and it is right
and just to recognize department employees who serve as shining examples of Hawaii County's
finest public servants.
