SUBJECT: Attendance of Council Members at"Ending Homelessness"on July 11, 2022
In accordance with HRS § 92-2.5(e), I am reporting the attendance of myself, Council Member
Heather Kimball and Council Member Rebecca Villegas at the "Ending Homelessness in our
Community" meeting held at the Hale `Olelo, University of Hawaii at Hilo, on July 11, 2022.
Discussions at this committee meeting emphasized upon collaboration with government
agencies, private sector entities, policy makers and others, to assist decision making and to
inform members on issues relating to homelessness in Hawai`i County.
HRS § 92-2.5(e) provides that two or more members of a board, but less than a quorum, may
attend an 'informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business,
including a meeting of another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, or community
meeting provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and exclusively organized
for or directed toward members of the board. The section further provides that at the next duly
noticed meeting of the board, the board members shall report their attendance and the matters
presented and discussed that related to official board business.
Please place this communication on the next available meeting of the Council.
