COUNTY OF HAWAI I STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 465 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HUMANITY HALE TO <br /> ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS LIFE ENHANCING PROGRAMS FOR AT-RISK <br /> YOUTH. <br /> WHEREAS, Humanity Hale is a 5 01(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to <br /> provide underserved, at-risk youth with life enhancing education, art and culture, life skills and <br /> trauma support programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Humanity Hale was created to ensure that youth have a place to feel safe <br /> where they can discover tools to release trauma and transmute pain through group and individual <br /> therapy, and also through various programs focusing on their overall well-being; and <br /> WHEREAS, Humanity Hale is requesting funds to assist with expenses for equipment, <br /> supplies, meals, ground transportation, and other expenses related to its education, art and <br /> culture, life skills and trauma support programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports programs that provide <br /> programs, educational activities, and community events in a drug-free and alcohol-free <br /> environment, such as Humanity Hale's life enhancing programs for at-risk youth; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Humanity Hale to assist with expenses related to its life <br /> enhancing programs for at-risk youth. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
