Re: Bill No. 179, Draft 2; an Ordinance Amending Article XIII, Section 13-8 of the
Hawaii County Charter(2020),relating to terms of Office of Department Heads
in the executive branch for those agencies under the Managing Director.
Attached,please find Bill No. 179, Draft 2. Bill No. 179 was amended to Draft 2 with the
contents of Communication No. 818.1, as well as verbal amendment, as both duly approved by
the Council during the July 6, 2022, Council meeting.
The verbal amendment to Bill No. 179 corrects the word"council"to "counsel"in the added
Section 13-8(b).
