Bill 190 calls for no charge for fixed-route and paratransit services through 2025. This will enable residents who cannot afford cars, or do not want cars,to access jobs and services. It will also help reduce pollution and climate change impacts. Please support Complete Streets when considering Communication 843 at Public Works and Mass Transit Committee at 1 PM. Comm. 843 calls for an update on improvements to Waianuenue Avenue. It is unacceptable that Complete Streets principles are not being followed for projects on Waianuenue Avenue, Kilauea Avenue, and Ali'i Drive. This means access to jobs and services becomes difficult and even dangerous for people who forego cars, or can't afford them. This includes people riding public transportation, bicyclists, skateboarders, pedestrians, people with mobility challenges, etc. Is ignoring Complete Streets a violation of State law.and/or requirements for State/Federal funding? Please support Resolution 458 at County Council at 2 PM. This calls for endorsing a fossil fuel non-proliferation treaty to avoid catastrophic climate change disruptions. Mahalo! Cory Harden i Comm.
