Subject: Letter in support of Resolution 449-22
Dear County Council Members,
I am writing in full support of Resolution 449-22 which is presented today by Maile David to fully fund Amy. B. H. Greenwell
Ethnobotanical Garden's Stewardship Grant Request. I served as past-president of Friends of the Garden for six years and have been
waiting for this happy day for a long time.
I know this is a large sum, nearly$200,000, but the Garden is worthy of County support. With these funds,our non-profit
organization can tackle a few issues that require money. Plant lovers really want South Kona's only Hawaiian Garden become a fully
functioning community space once more!
The release of these funds marks the beginning of what I hope will be a long and mutually satisfying relationship between the Friends
and the County of Hawaii.
