JpgYfOF N"ff� '. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWA sI STATE OF I- AWAI`I <br /> ,r ®F^HwN <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 479 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATEDFUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANTT `U KAKOU FOR <br /> ITS 7th ANNUAL KA'V COFFEE TRAIL RUN. <br /> WHEREAS, `O Ka`d Kakou (OKK) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that sponsors <br /> and supports community activities in the district of Ka`u that enhance the quality of life and <br /> build economic development opportunities for the people of Ka`u ; and <br /> WHEREAS, OKK is hosting its 7th Annual Ka`u Coffee Trail Run on September 17, <br /> 2022, which will host runners from around the world on a challenging course that meanders over <br /> Pahala's unpaved trials, through coffee fields,pasture lands, macadamia nut orchards, eucalyptus <br /> and ohia forest; and <br /> WHEREAS, OKK is requesting funds to assist with food, drinks, t-shirts and other costs <br /> directly related to its 7th annual Ka`u Coffee Trail Run; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that <br /> promote health, safety, and welfare of the community through alcohol-, tobacco-, and drug-free <br /> activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to `O Ka`u Kakou for its 7th Annual Ka`u Coffee Trail Run. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
