i <br /> o <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> I <br /> F pF°pA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> i <br /> 3 <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION AMEND RESOLUTION410-22 AUTHORIZING <br /> THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS TO AWARD FUNDS TO <br /> THE PEOPLES ADVOCACY FOR TRAILS HAWAII, NOW KNOWN <br /> S THE PEOPLE FOR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION HAAI`1 3 <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution 410-22, adopted on June 1, 2022, in accordance <br /> with Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> authorized the Department of Public Works to provide a grant of$907,500 to the <br /> Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii (PATH) to expand the Hawaii Island I <br /> i <br /> Bikeshare system; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 29, 2021, the Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii filed <br /> documents with the Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs to change the <br /> entity's name to People for Active Transportation Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requests that all references in <br /> Resolution 410-22 citing the nonprofit organization as "Peoples Advocacy for <br /> Trails Hawaii" be identified as "People for Active Transportation Hawaii"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the People for Active Transportation Hawaii qualifies as a <br /> nonprofit organization; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, <br /> that Resolution 410-22 be, and hereby is, amended to reflect all references of <br /> Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii to be identified instead as People for Active <br /> Transportation Hawaii. <br />
