V Of y�,y <br /> C STATE OF C <br /> I <br /> tri 1 4�p0 e•\ 3 <br /> 7rE OF.w►'P* I <br /> SOLUTION NO. 493 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION <br /> CARDING WEATHER CAMERAS AND INSTRUMENTS TO BE MOUNTED ON <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAPI'S TOWER. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-7 requires that County departments <br /> obtain the consent of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments <br /> respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend, <br /> i <br /> and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken <br /> pursuant to those powers; and <br /> I <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Hawaii owns an existing open-frame tower located at 19-50- <br /> 08.0 N 155-06-33.0 W; 28-2892 Alia Street, Pepe`ekeo, HI 96783; and <br /> WHEREAS,the United States of America Department of Transportation Federal <br /> Aviation Administration("FAA") would like to mount four(4) aviation weather cameras and a <br /> small weather instrument on said tower; and <br /> WHEREAS, the FAA will also have a camera control unit installed inside the <br /> communications shelter; and <br /> WHEREAS, the FAA and the County of Hawaii desire to enter into a Federal Aviation <br /> Administration Lease for Real Property effective June 1, 2022 through May 31,2037; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-7, that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii <br /> is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an intergovernmental agreement with the FAA <br />
