The regular meeting of the Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public

DETECTIVE KEITH SIMEONA OF THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION
DIVISION, SPECIAL ENFORCEMENT UNIT — HAWAI`I POLICE
DEPARTMENT

Motion to Close File: Ms. Lee Loy moved to close file on Comm. 176.16.

CHR. INABA: This morning I'd like to call forth our awardee
Detective Simeona, as well as Major Briski from our area one operation. Yeah,
and you can come right up here to the front table, you'll pull the mic close to you,
and press the button to activate the mic. Good morning to both of you, and to
your `ohana. Major Briski if you could please introduce our awardee today, and
explain a little bit about why he's been selected as the Haweo awardee for
July 2022.
CERTIFICATE OF (Note: At this time, the July 2022 HAWEO Award was presented
APPRECIATION: to Detective Keith Simeona, Criminal Investigation Division, Special
Enforcement Unit — Hawai` i Police Department, in recognition of going
above and beyond the call of duty. Police Major John Briski came
forward and provided statements regarding his exceptional activities in
service to the community. Chair Inaba provided a celebratory Hawaiian
Chant.)
CHR. INABA: With that, there's a motion on the floor to close file on
Communication 176.16. All those in favor, please say "aye."
Vote on Comm. 176.16: The motion to close file on Comm. 176.16 was carried
