Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety, to which was referred
Communication No. 883, reports as follows:
Communication No. 883, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated July 13, 2022,
submitting for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of Jennifer Wilkinson of
Council District 7 to the Liquor Commission.
Executive Assistant Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in Council Chambers in Hilo to introduce
the nominee, who attended via Zoom.
Chair Inaba stated that confirmation before Council would take place in two weeks, and that the
nominee is invited to attend.
Pursuant to Sections 7-3.2 and 13-4 of the Hawai`i County Charter, members of the Liquor
Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.
Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent
of Communication No. 883, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Jennifer Wilkinson
to the Liquor Commission.
