As requested by the PWMTC Committee on August 2, 2022,below are some of the numbers
provided during our status update on the workings and implementation of the EPIC system.
Permit Applications- Status
Total Description
452,082 Permit cases in Energov, including those
switched over from Magnet, Lotus, etc.
7,122 Applications created in Energov, including
Engineering permits, since inception

5,934 Permits issued in Energov, including
Engineering permits and legacy permits,
since inception (07126121)
737 Applications awaiting Intake process (either
first time submission or resubmittals
1,192 Applications currently in review(i.e., past
Intake and awaiting review for Land Use or
by plans examiners)
2,107 Applications awaiting resubmittal (i.e.,
returned to applicant for revisions and not yet
resubmitted)
12,958 Permits in system with inspections completed
in Energov (includes Legacy and Energov-
issued permits

Permit Review Times— Status
The following represent data generated for the month of July 2022. These numbers are current
and will differ from the running 6-month averages that are presented on the DPW website.
Time Description
Approx. 30 days Average time for application received in
Ener ov until Intake process is complete
Approx. 3 days Average time for Planning to complete Land
Use review
Approx. 60 days Average time to complete multi-agency
review of application (Building, Fire, DON,
DEM) after Intake and Land Use review
Approx. 60 days Average time to issue permit after Intake IF
there are no corrections or need for
resubmittals
Approx. 17 days Average time to Intake/Review/Issue PV
permits new/alterations
