I'm still suspicious of hydrogen, because nearly 100% of it is derived from
methane, not hydrolysis. Of course, PV might be producing hydrogen from
naturally occurring methane or other volcanic gases. I have long envisioned that
hydrogen could be a viable means of storing energy, if it was created using solar
energy.

Thank you to Heather Kimball for introducing this bill. Ever-increasing extreme weather events, like the fire d§Oger tai our
island and floods in Kentucky, point to the urgency of taking actions such as this.
However, please ask why hydrogen vehicles are included.
"Fuel cell electric vehicle" means a zero-emission electric vehicle that uses a fuel cell to
convert hydrogen gas and oxygen into electricity that is used in a vehicle powertrain for propulsion." top of p. 2
Puna Geothermal Venture has tentative plans to produce hydrogen, but large amounts of fossil fuel are needed to drill wells,
manufacture equipment, and maintain PGV.
