Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 197, reports as follows:
Bill No. 194,transmitted by the Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 914
dated July 29, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 22-63, as amended, the Operating Budget for the
County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants—Housing Choice Voucher-Housing Project
account($1$0,000); and appropriates the same to the Housing Ulu Wini Other Current Expenses
account, bringing the total appropriation to $1,355,312. Funds would be used to subsidize
operating costs required to run the Ulu Wini Housing project.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 197, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
