Please accept this testimony in FAVOR of Resolution 467 calling for an audit of OHCD. | urge you topositively consider this
resolution. As a long time kamaaina to the local community it is a relatively common understanding that the actions that
brought about the need for this resolution are only the tip of the iceberg and not a single bad apple. |tisonly when caught
that attention for action is brought forward only to be set aside due to some inconvenience and never resurrected. Certainly
the proper agency investigations have begun and no one wishes to interject anything that may interfere. However, itisinthe
best interests of all to seek this action at a designated later time instead of dismissing for short term reasons. Besides, itvxi//
take many weeks/months before the County Auditor may even beable tVpick this up. Communication 8DG.2enhanced the
language of the Resolution to make it much more a positive evaluation of process. |tisnot about being punitive but certainly a
duty to provide transparency and accountability as a normal business practice and all departments should be openly accepting
of such opportunity for process improvement. | ask you to give a favorable consideration to approve Resolution 467 to test
where itmay lead.
